Our History
Leading the way...

In 1945 Harley Miller had a vision to create a company on the leading edge of the growing post war construction industry, and from that vision W. Harley Miller Inc. was born.

Over the following decades W. Harley Miller Inc. established its place as the leading commercial contractor for the tri-state area, completing projects ranging from college dormitories in Shepherdstown, WV to Martinsburg's brand new City Hospital.

As the tri-state area grew, so did W. Harley Miller Inc., growing from a one man operation in 1945 to a company employing many by 1970.

Continuing a tradition of excellence...

In 1981 Harley Miller unexpectedly passed away.

With the future of W. Harley Miller Inc. in a reorganizing platform, James W. Dailey II "Jim," then acting Vice President of the company, established W. Harley Miller Contractors, Inc. and has carried on the traditions, the quality and the expertise that W. Harley Miller Inc. had forged in the decades preceding.

Since then W. Harley Miller Contractors, Inc. has continued to lead the tri-state area in commercial construction, completing projects ranging from new school construction to commercial facilities helping meet the area's growing needs.

Into the future...

Seeing the changing landscape of commercial construction, James W. Dailey III "Tripp" joined the company in 2005 to lend his experience and expertise in information technologies.

In this ever changing economic and information driven age of doing business, Jim Dailey and 3rd generation son Tripp Dailey work to lead the construction industry by adapting and growing with current demand.

Together they work to grow W. Harley Miller Contractors, Inc., and whether it be the latest in construction technologies or the rapid growth of LEED construction, there is no project beyond their scope and ability.
